West Palm Beach, FL

Our West Palm Beach team works in unbridled collaboration with the Safety Net program at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in West Palm Beach, FL to provide free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness.

Team Leads:

Dr. Alyssa Comroe graduated from the University of Florida in 2015 and has dedicated her career to shelter medicine. As Medical Director at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in West Palm Beach, she expanded the Safety Net program from a pet food pantry into a comprehensive support system offering temporary housing, medical and surgical care, and Community Pet Clinics for pets across Palm Beach County. This work led to a partnership with Street Dog Coalition to better serve pets belonging to members of the unhoused community. Dr. Comroe is passionate about ensuring everyone has access to the love of a pet and finds great fulfillment in keeping families together through both adoption and Safety Net services.
