Veterinary Student Engagement

Schedule a presentation

Schedule a presentation on Street Medicine and One Health outreach (in-person or Zoom) for your club, class or school. When feasible, participation and organization of a local street clinic may be included. This would be sponsored by HSVMA, and potentially include a meal or meal coupon for attendees.

Volunteer with an Existing SDC Team in Your Region

If you’d like to volunteer with an SDC team near you, check out our map and let us know where you’d like to spend some time. This experience will allow you to learn about access to veterinary care issues and continue to engage your examination, diagnostic, and treatment skills while strengthening the breadth and reach of SDC.

Develop a 211 Resource Guide for Your State

A Colorado State University veterinary student developed a resource guide for Colorado 2-1-1 so they can access information for at-risk pet-owners seeking pet care resources across the state. Information is added on a continual basis, and we welcome additions. If you would like to create a 211 Resource Guide for your state, let us know and we can help you get started.
