Colorado One Health Mobile Outreach
Nearly 20% of unhoused Americans live in rural areas with limited access to healthcare services including vaccines. The Street Dog Coalition has piloted a One Health Mobile Outreach program powered by volunteers from various medical professions to provide community-centered healthcare services in rural areas of Colorado.
In 2021, we nicknamed the program COHMO (Colorado One Health Mobile Outreach). In 2024, ElleVet Project donated their “ElleVan” RV to SDC to help extend our reach to communities that have little to no access to veterinary care facilities. See Sheila’s video below describing the services she and her pets received in Yuma, CO.
