Ellie’s Story
Ellie belongs to a young family who have struggled to find and keep housing. Ellie developed "seasonal allergies" at two years old, which developed into serious allergies at 6 years old. Her family could not afford the treatment she needed. They tried prednisone, but she was unhappy, aggressive, and uncomfortable. They thought they could no longer keep her and were heartbroken. Dr. Kline and The Street Dog clinic helped Ellie get spayed and microchipped, provided flea and tick and heartworm prevention, and helped with medical questions when Ellie had a severe reaction to a bee sting. They also started her on Apoquel (donated from Zoetis), which has been a life saver. She is a happy girl who feels so much better since meeting the folks at the Street Dog Coalition's Rogue Valley Team. Her mom says, "we are very grateful for all The Street Dog Coalition has done for Ellie. They have restored her quality of life."
