Team Lead

Dr. Allison Black

Dr. Black is a Texas native who graduated from Texas A&M in 2018 and immediately became immersed in animal welfare. She is motivated to improve the quality of life for pets and their people, regardless of their available resources. She believes in keeping families (including the four-legged members) together through organizations such as The Street Dog Coalition. Dr. Black loves the uncontrolled chaos of high-volume and shelter veterinary medicine and is always up for a challenge! While not on a spay-neuter trip or helping out at a local animal hospital, she enjoys hiking, skiing, exploring, and decompressing with her husband and senior pittie.

Dr. Katie Redd

Dr. Katie Redd grew up in Colorado and received both her Bachelors and Doctorate degrees from Colorado State University. While volunteering at a local cat rescue in college, she developed a passion for helping the most vulnerable and in-need populations of animals and the people who love them. Over the last 10 years, she has volunteered and worked in the animal welfare space running vaccine clinics, organizing large-scale spay and neuter clinics, and working as a shelter veterinarian. She is thrilled to continue helping the people of Denver find access to care for their animals through the amazing work of the Street Dog Coalition. When Katie is not working with animals, she is often outdoors hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, or taking her two cats on an outdoor adventure. She also enjoys fostering her creative side by singing at open-mic events or performing in a local choir.
