Team Lead:
Hilary Wheeler, DVM
Dr. Hilary Wheeler has practiced veterinary medicine in the San Jose area since 1998. She has always been passionate about supporting the human-animal-bond and helping people in underserved communities. Dr. Wheeler joined The Street Dog Coalition as a Team Lead in 2020 and looks forward to expanding the care her team provides in the years to come.
Co-Team Lead:
Andrea Romano
Andrea graduated with a degree in biology and is a business woman by trade, and an animal advocate by heart. Raised by the quintessential ‘crazy cat lady’, her mother instilled in her a love for all animals. Her house was always filled with strays who were cared for until a suitable fur ever home was found. She is a huge fan of The Street Dog Coalition and looks forward to her role as Co-Team Lead with Dr. Hilary Wheeler and her role as a Director on SDC’s Board of Directors.
Volunteer Coordinator:
Kat Klein
Kat has been volunteering with SDC since 2019 when she first heard about it from a co-worker at Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency and Rehabilitation Hospital. After her first clinic, she knew right away she wanted to continue to be a part of this organization for a long time. When she moved back to California in late 2020, she wanted to continue Street Dog's mission. In addition to volunteering, Kat is a full time oncology vet tech at Marqueen Animal Clinic. When she’s not working or volunteering, she is spending time with family, friends and her two cats (Starlord and Sylvie).
