“I don't know where we would be without the Street Dog Coalition! Everyone is so kind and welcoming and always makes you feel good to be there. Even my dogs enjoy going and seeing everyone. If it weren't for Dr. Crow and the rest of the staff my Furbabies wouldn't be so healthy and happy, it really takes so much stress and worry off of me and my dogs sense that. I'd like to tell all the wonderful people of The Street Dog Coalition that you are truly a big blessing to our lives and we can't thank you all enough from the very bottom of hearts. We love you all so much!!” - Sophie, Topeka Pet Parent and SDC Client

Hear from Andrea:

“I'm the volunteer Co-Team Lead for SDC’s Bay Area team and I have personally seen the impact SDC has had on people who are experiencing some of the hardest times of their lives. Taking care of their fur babies helps bring some joy to hard times.

One of our favorite locations is in Santa Cruz at a transitional housing facility. I met a family several times who had fallen on very hard times because their identities had been stolen and they ended up unhoused. They had been applying for housing but needed their dog to have up to date vaccinations. Thanks to SDC we were able to provide that service and they landed on their feet in housing.”

About Andrea

Andrea Romano graduated with a degree in biology and is a business woman by trade, and an animal advocate by heart. Raised by the quintessential ‘crazy cat lady’, her mother instilled in her a love for all animals. Her house was always filled with strays who were cared for until a suitable fur ever home was found. She is a huge fan of The Street Dog Coalition and looks forward to her role as Co-Team Lead with Dr. Hilary Wheeler and her role as the Chairperson of SDC’s Board of Directors.
