Team Lead:
Sarah O’Day, DVM
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to become a veterinarian. As my parents witnessed, I began to collect strays and made them our family pets. My thought was that every animal should have a safe place to call home. I was able to accomplish my dream in 2014 when I graduated from Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine. A year later, I moved to Ft. Carson and ‘the rest is history’. I was introduced to The Street Dog Coalition by my inspiring friend and colleague, Dr. Lauren Seal. I am truly inspired by people such as Lauren as well as the staff and volunteers with The Street Dog Coalition and the Springs Rescue Mission. They are doing all they can to support our homeless brothers, sisters, and their fur babies. These truly wonderful and dedicated people allow me to ‘keep the faith’ in humankind.
