Alamogordo, NM

Team Lead:

Katherine Lambden, DVM

Dr. Katie Lambden grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in a small house in the city with a big collection of pets, including chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, and cats. Her first career goal as a child was to be a veterinarian. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in biology, she became distracted by bicycling and travel and ended up spending several years bike touring and racing semi-professionally. After starting a family, she made her way to vet school (Tufts, in Massachusetts), and graduated in 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, hiking, and trying to keep up with a growing collection of farm animals (including a thoroughbred mare and several Nigerian dwarf goats) and house pets (including 5 dogs and 4 cats). Dr. Lambden became acquainted with The Street Dog Coalition in 2020 and is thrilled to be part of the mission to help nurture and sustain the human-animal bond in pets and their people struggling with homelessness.

Carina Davis

I grew up in Tucson, AZ with dogs, cats, horses, and various other livestock. I was a member of 4H and FFA where I showed horses, raised market sheep and rabbits, and competed in dairy judging and public speaking. In 2013, my husband and I moved to his hometown of Chinle, AZ on the Navajo Reservation. We were very active in the rescue community there and fostered numerous dogs, cats, and horses until we moved to Alamogordo in June, 2019. We share our home with our four dogs, and we also have a Paint horse mare and a Shetland pony. Serving my community and caring for animals is important to me and I am proud to be a member of the Alamogordo Street Dog Coalition team!
